A full frame of honeycomb — honey still in the wax, exactly as the bees capped it.
An entire frame of capped comb from our rescued hives, lifted straight from the hive. A true centrepiece — for a grazing table, a special gift, or simply the most direct way to eat honey there is.
Local pickup from Berwick only — a full frame is too fragile to post safely, so this item is collection by appointment.
Held to the highest standard, from hive to comb:
- Sites free from pesticides and insecticides, landfill, and agricultural crops within 5km
- No copper naphthenate wood preservative, no plastic frames, no paraffin
- Our production hives are never fed sugar or fondant — the bees live on their own honey, and we leave a full box of stores on every hive over winter
- Hives stationary — never trucked, never used for commercial pollination
- Fully insulated Finnish hives (high-density EPS, roughly R7–R8 — around 6–12× the thermal protection of a standard 22mm timber hive)
- Australian wax foundation, no synthetic chemicals in the hive
- No synthetic miticides — only organic-approved methods if treatment is ever needed
Every colony we keep was rescued — this frame came from one of them.
Paul Rosanes, Head Chef at Middle Ground in Beaconsfield, uses our full frames of honeycomb exclusively on his menu.
Our honey is also used at Stokehouse St Kilda by Executive Chef Jason Staudt.
Every purchase funds the next bee rescue.
