Creamed Honey

Smooth, spreadable creamed honey — the same raw honey, set soft and velvety.

Creamed honey that’s spreadable straight from the jar — thick, silky and clean on the knife, with none of the drip of runny honey. It’s the same award-winning raw honey we bottle runny, simply set into a fine, smooth crystal so it spreads like butter. Perfect on toast, crumpets, porridge, or straight off the spoon. Available in 500g and 1kg jars.

Still raw, never heated. We keep it below 30°C throughout — beneath the temperature of the hive itself — so the enzymes, trace pollen and natural character stay intact. It’s set smooth on purpose, not processed. New to creamed honey?

Made slowly, the traditional way. We use the Dyce method: the honey is seeded with a fine-crystal starter, stirred for fifteen minutes every hour for six to seven days to spread the crystals evenly, then left to settle at around 15°C for a couple of weeks until it sets silky and smooth. Slow and unheated, exactly as it should be.

It starts as the same raw honey we bottle runny — chemical-free, from stationary hives, the bees left on their own stores, and kept exactly as it comes from the frame. That’s our whole standard, and creamed honey is held to every word of it: read it in full, hive to jar.

Every hive we keep was rescued, and each one carries its own story. Second prize for Creamed Honey, Pakenham Show 2025 — and our honey is used at Stokehouse St Kilda by Executive Chef Jason Staudt.
