Shipping
How we ship
We post via Australia Post using flat-rate satchels and boxes, with the rate calculated at checkout based on your order. Every glass jar is wrapped carefully to protect it in transit. You’ll receive tracking details once your order is dispatched.
Dispatch time
We aim to dispatch within 1–2 business days. As a small, hands-on operation, dispatch can occasionally take a little longer during busy periods or when we’re out on a rescue — if there’s any delay, we’ll let you know.
Where we post
We post to all Australian states and territories except Western Australia, the Northern Territory and Tasmania. These three are excluded due to biosecurity restrictions on bee products — raw honey, honeycomb, beeswax and propolis are prohibited or restricted from entering these regions to protect their local bee populations from disease and pests like Varroa mite. This is a legal requirement, and we comply with it fully. We don’t currently ship internationally.
Local pickup
Pickup from Berwick is available by appointment. Place your order online, select the local pickup option at checkout, then contact us to arrange a time. Call 0423 256 231 or email laszlo@beesfriend.com.au.
Full frames of honeycomb
Full frames of capped honeycomb are available for local pickup from Berwick only — they’re too fragile to post safely. Order online, select local pickup, and contact us to arrange collection by appointment.
Returns
Damaged or faulty orders
We take care to pack everything securely, but if your order arrives damaged or faulty, we’ll make it right — a replacement or refund, whichever suits. Please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order, with a photo of the damage and your order number, and we’ll sort it out quickly. Call 0423 256 231 or email laszlo@beesfriend.com.au.
Change of mind
Because our products are food and consumables, we’re unable to accept returns or offer refunds for change of mind, or where a product has been opened or used. We’d rather you order with confidence — so if you’re unsure which honey or product is right for you, get in touch before ordering and we’ll happily help.
Your consumer rights
Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded — you’re entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to a replacement or refund if the goods aren’t of acceptable quality. If anything’s not right, talk to us — we’re a small family operation and we want you happy with what you receive.
